BIOGRAPHY

Jessica is a family and relationship lawyer and has been practicing since 2007. 

Jessica is empathetic and understanding of the individual and personal challenges faced by each of her clients and strives to provide them with holistic legal advice.

Whilst focusing primarily on family law since 2012, Jessica has multi- disciplinary legal experience and an extensive knowledge of various practice areas include commercial and civil litigation. Jessica has also further expanded upon her commercial expertise by undertaking a Master of Laws (LLM) at Melbourne University. Jessica’s commercial background has enhanced her practice of family law particularly in complex property matters involving complex corporate structures, trusts, bankrupt estates, self-managed superannuation funds and complex tax issues. Whilst remaining empathetic, Jessica aims to provide her clients with sensible and commercial advice. Jessica focuses on strategic litigation to obtain the best possible outcome for her client. 

Jessica’s practice of family law includes:

  • Parenting disputes;
  • Relocation Applications;
  • Financial Agreements (including applications to set aside);
  • Spousal Maintenance agreements and advice;
  • Property disputes involving farm property and constructive trust issues;
  • Child Support agreements and advice;
  • Complex high net asset property divisions;
  • International family law matters;
  • Contravention Applications;
  • Administration & probate. 

During her years of practice, Jessica has appeared in several courts including the Supreme Court, Federal Circuit Court of Australia and Family Court of Australia. Jessica has also had the conduct of various proceedings in the Legal Practice List and Anti-Discrimination List of VCAT including a landmark sexual harassment case. 

Jessica is a current Adjunct Lecturer at the College of Law and she is enjoying being kept on her toes by her law graduate students. Jessica teaches various subjects including Ethics and Professional Responsibility and Family Law. 

In her very limited downtime Jessica enjoys getting her zen on by practicing yoga and going on culinary adventures.
