Steven Chen Lawyer Commercial Law

After graduating from the University of Sydney in 1990, Steven started his legal career in Malaysia where he practiced primarily in property and commercial law.

Steven was employed with a Melbourne suburban firm for four years before joining us in February 2010.

Steven has a profound interest in retail leasing, sale and purchase of small business and estate administration, the areas where he principally practices in Eales & Mackenzie. He also assists in residential and commercial conveyancing.

Steven’s ability to speak Mandarin and Indonesian has been of assistance to him in his practice. He is also involved in pro bono work being a volunteer at the Refugee and Immigration Legal Centre Inc, Fitzroy.

While still trying to learn the nitty gritty rules of the oval ball game, Steven is a supporter of Aussies Socceroos and a follower of Liverpool FC in the English Premier League.

Steven is married with two lovely kids and spends most of his free time with his family.
