History of the Firm
Dick Mackenzie acquired the practice over 30 years ago on 25th of March 1973 when he finalised the purchase of Eales & Miller from Duncan Eales.
The name was changed to Eales & Mackenzie to reflect the new ownership and Dick has been the senior partner since this time.
We relocated our Melbourne premises from West Melbourne to 442 Collins Street and continued in that city office until we outgrew that and moved to 395 Collins Street, and some three years ago having again outgrown those premises we moved to our current premises at Levels 5 & 6, 95 Queen Street, Melbourne.
Current partner Dean Jones joined the partnership in 2002. The harmony of the partnership and the current solicitors and staff make this place a pleasure to work in, and without the dedication and enthusiasm of the partners and staff we wouldn't have achieved the growth and success we have.
Today the practice is vibrant, specialising in the areas of Commercial Law, Commercial Litigation, Estates and Estate Disputes and Family Law. We are continually striving to improve and keep abreast of current technology.
